The Slice of Americana Pizza Competition, a pizza-making contest with live music, fun and games is coming to Oxford on July 4th.
Scheduled as part of the 4th of July celebrations in Oxford, the event is open to the public and will be held at The Powerhouse from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
The winner of the pizza competition (a couple spots are still open!) will win a free trip to Italy with the U.S. Pizza Team to compete in the World Pizza Championships in 2015.
A panel of expert judges will choose the overall winner while a People’s Choice award will also be presented (translation: you get to taste the pizzas!).
Competitors include Wholly Stromboli of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Bada Bing! Pizzeria of Springfield, Ohio, Lost River Pizza Co. of Nashville, TN, Master Pizza of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, Vito and Nick’s of Chicago, IL, Palo Mesa Pizza of Arroyo Grande, CA, Monye Bello Pizzeria of St Louis, MO, two competitors from Nima’s Pizza of Gassville, AR, 5 Points Pizza of Nashville, TN, Paninos Pizzeria of Illinois, Pure Pizza of Charlotte, NC, Pizza Dock of Fredericktown, OH, Domino’s Pizza of Oxford, MS and Tre Amici of Oxford, MS + 4 more spots remain that could be filled!
